Weekly Beef Export Sales 08/06 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 378,000 pieces for 2026 were up 35 percent
from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for China (214,100 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 300 pieces), Mexico (74,400 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 1,000 pieces), Brazil (42,300 whole cattle hides), South
Korea (19,900 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 100 pieces), and
Thailand (13,900 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 800 pieces).
Exports of 302,200 whole cattle hides were up 25 percent from the previous
week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to China (196,200 pieces), Mexico (48,400 pieces), Brazil
(18,900 pieces), South Korea (16,500 pieces), and Thailand (13,800
pieces).
Net sales of 138,500 wet blues for 2026 were down 12 percent from the
previous week, but up 36 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
were primarily for Italy (79,200 unsplit), Bangladesh (20,200 unsplit),
Thailand (19,900 unsplit), China (15,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (2,800
unsplit). Net sales of 22,600 wet blues for 2027 reported for Thailand
(12,000 unsplit) and Italy (11,500 unsplit), were offset by reductions for
Guyana (1,000 unsplit). No net sales and exports of other excluding wet
blues were reported for the week. Exports of 171,100 wet blues were up 71
percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to Italy (47,900 unsplit),
Vietnam (47,600 unsplit), Thailand (39,600 unsplit), China (16,400
unsplit), and Hong Kong (10,500 unsplit). Total net sales of 84,000 splits
were for Vietnam. Exports of 160,000 splits were to China.
Beef: Net sales of 19,800 MT for 2026 were up 31 percent from the previous
week and 71 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for South Korea (9,300 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), Japan
(6,600 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Taiwan (900 MT, including
decreases of 200 MT), Mexico (800 MT), and Hong Kong (500 MT). Exports of
12,500 MT were up 1 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the
prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea
(3,800 MT), Japan (2,800 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), Taiwan (1,500 MT), and
Canada (1,100 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 27,300 MT for 2026 were down 23 percent from the
previous week, but up 6 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
primarily for Mexico (16,500 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), Japan
(3,500 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Colombia (2,200 MT, including
decreases of 200 MT), South Korea (1,800 MT, including decreases of 300
MT), and Honduras (1,400 MT), were offset by reductions for China (1,900
MT). Exports of 28,100 MT were down 13 percent from the previous week and
4 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily
to Mexico (13,100 MT), Japan (4,200 MT), South Korea (2,700 MT), China
(1,700 MT), and Colombia (1,600 MT).
