Weekly Beef Export Sales 07/16 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 291,000 pieces for 2026 were down 14 percent
from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for China (177,700 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 1,600 pieces), Mexico (54,200 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 300 pieces), Thailand (32,400 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 100 pieces), South Korea (10,300 whole cattle hides), and
Turkey (5,000 whole cattle hides). Total net sales reductions of 100 kip
skins were for China. Exports of 248,600 whole cattle hides were down 24
percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to China (130,800 pieces), Mexico
(49,000 pieces), Brazil (37,600 pieces), South Korea (15,100 pieces), and
Thailand (12,500 pieces). Exports of 2,300 kip skins were to China.
Net sales of 39,500 wet blues for 2026 were down 41 percent from the
previous week and 74 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
reported for Thailand (32,000 unsplit), China (4,800 grain split and 2,600
unsplit), and Brazil (100 unsplit). No net sales or exports of other
excluding wet blues were reported for the week. Exports of 110,800 wet
blues were up 15 percent from the previous week, but down 8 percent from
the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam
(41,400 unsplit), China (31,000 unsplit), Italy (20,000 unsplit), Hong
Kong (8,400 unsplit), and Brazil (6,700 unsplit). No net sales and exports
of splits were reported for the week.
Beef: Net sales of 8,000 MT for 2026 were down 43 percent from the
previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for Japan (2,400 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Canada
(1,900 MT), Mexico (1,200 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT, including decreases of
200 MT), and Qatar (200 MT). Exports of 10,400 MT were down 29 percent
from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to South Korea (3,200 MT), Japan (2,900 MT),
Mexico (1,400 MT), Taiwan (700 MT), and Hong Kong (600 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 21,600 MT for 2026 were up 22 percent from the previous
week, but down 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for Mexico (9,100 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Japan
(7,100 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), Canada (1,400 MT, including
decreases of 400 MT), Colombia (1,100 MT, including 100 MT switched from
the Dominican Republic and decreases of 300 MT), and Honduras (600 MT).
Exports of 25,200 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 19
percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to
Mexico (11,900 MT), Japan (4,500 MT), China (2,500 MT), South Korea (1,800
MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).
