Weekly Beef Export Sales 10/01 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 326,700 pieces for 2026 were up 69 percent
from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for China (246,300 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 1,900 pieces), South Korea (26,600 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 100 pieces), Mexico (24,100 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 700 pieces), Thailand (19,700 whole cattle hides),
and Indonesia (5,700 whole cattle hides), were offset by reductions for
Taiwan (200 pieces). Exports of 237,300 whole cattle hides were down 16
percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to China (144,200 pieces), Mexico
(35,400 pieces), South Korea (19,600 pieces), Brazil (14,100 pieces), and
Italy (12,400 pieces).
Net sales reductions of 18,400 wet blues were reported for 2026. Increases
reported for Italy (15,000 unsplit, including decreases of 32,000 grain
splits and 1,600 unsplit), Thailand (8,400 unsplit), Vietnam (8,400
unsplit, including decreases of 200 unsplit), and Taiwan (800 grain
splits, including decreases of 7,700 unsplit), were offset by reductions
for Brazil (11,200 unsplit). Net sales of 6,400 unsplit for 2027 reported
for Italy (5,400 unsplit) and Vietnam (3,800 unsplit), were offset by
reductions for Brazil (2,900 unsplit). Net sales reductions of 11,800
other excluding wet blues were for China (7,900 pounds) and Turkey (3,800
pounds). Exports of 111,700 wet blues were down 24 percent from the
previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to Italy (45,700 unsplit), Vietnam (23,700
unsplit), Thailand (17,400 unsplit), China (16,800 unsplit), and Hong Kong
(2,100 unsplit). No exports of other excluding wet blues were reported for
the week. Net sales reductions of 158,900 splits were for Vietnam (119,500
pounds) and China (39,400 pounds). Exports of 219,100 splits were to
Vietnam (174,500 pounds) and China (44,600 pounds).
Beef: Net sales of 14,500 MT for 2026 were up 55 percent from the previous
week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for South Korea (4,700 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Japan
(4,500 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Taiwan (1,400 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT), China (1,100 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT). Exports of 12,500 MT were up 3 percent from the
previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to South Korea (4,200 MT), Japan (3,200 MT),
Mexico (1,200 MT), Taiwan (1,000 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 35,300 MT for 2026 were unchanged from the previous
week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for Mexico (17,200 MT, including decreases of 900 MT), Canada
(4,300 MT), China (3,000 MT), Japan (2,800 MT, including decreases of 600
MT), and South Korea (2,700 MT, including decreases of 100 MT). Total net
sales of 300 MT for 2027 were for Japan. Exports of 34,800 MT were up 8
percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (16,500 MT), Japan
(4,600 MT), China (2,700 MT), Colombia (2,600 MT), and South Korea (2,500
MT).
